Cookies, without the mystery

Cookies and browser storage let a website remember information in your browser. SmartVision uses Firebase Authentication browser storage for sign-in and local storage for the preferences listed below. The site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights for traffic and performance statistics. Web Analytics does not use analytics cookies. There are no advertising trackers. Images and fonts are served with the website.

Firebase sign-in · browser storage

Firebase Authentication stores sign-in state in this browser, normally using IndexedDB or local storage, so your Google or Apple session can continue across pages and visits. Firebase refreshes short-lived ID tokens when needed. SmartVision keeps the current ID token in page memory for authenticated API requests and does not put it in a URL. Signing out clears the Firebase sign-in state.

Provider sign-in · popup

Choosing Google or Apple opens that provider in a popup. The provider and Firebase Authentication may use their own cookies or browser storage to complete sign-in, under their applicable privacy rules. You do not need to open a provider simply to read the public pages.

Your chosen language · local storage

smartvision:language remembers a language only when you select one. It remains until you clear this site’s data or choose another language. A language in a page’s URL takes priority; without a saved choice, the site uses a supported browser language or English. Blocking preference storage does not prevent browsing.

Last recording · local storage

smartvision:last-job stores the identifier of the last recording opened in the studio so it can be reopened later. It does not contain the video itself and does not grant access to it. It remains until you sign out or clear this site’s storage.

Your controls

There are currently no optional advertising or analytics cookies to accept or reject. You can clear or block site storage in your browser settings; blocking required storage may prevent sign-in from persisting, and clearing it signs you out locally. It does not delete recordings stored by the processing service. Any future optional tracking will require an updated notice and, where required, your consent before it starts.
